01About the community

Green streets, desert views, and neighbors who care for both.

Western Enclave is a gated community of single-family homes between Indian School and Camelback Roads, built between 2017 and 2023 by CalAtlantic Homes and Lennar.

Grass parks and shade trees sit alongside desert landscaping throughout the neighborhood, and walking paths connect the streets to shared open space and play areas. A volunteer Board of Directors works with United Community Management to care for the common areas.

Making 95th Avenue safer for every home along it

In November 2025 and again in early April 2026, drivers speeding down 95th Avenue, where the street dead-ends at our entrance, struck the home directly south of the gate. The first driver was cited. The second crash destroyed the entrance gate, and that driver left the scene. Many neighbors saw the news coverage, and the Board wants every resident to hear directly what is being done.

Cameras, reflectors, and warning signs at the gate, along with at least three gate replacements, have not stopped these crashes, so the Board is treating the entrance as a full safety project.

Next, the reconfiguration will be designed and bid with general contractors, and the new gate, including whether it should be crash-rated, will be installed as part of that construction. [Timeline]
